Two year ago today The Cop and I went to my 40 week check up. I was a day shy of my actual due date, but I was not progressing. At all. Miss Bee didn't want to go anywhere.

After my exam, my OB sent me for a sizing ultra-sound because..."I just don't thing this baby is that big." We had the attention of not one, but two technicians. They actually sized Miss Bee twice. Once by our actual tech and once by the tech who was shadowing her. The verdict was intimidating. Tech #1 sized her at 9lbs 13ozs. Tech #2 came up with 9lbs 2ozs. All guesses are plus or minus 10%. I should have been prepared. I was nearly 7 pounds...The Cop...almost 13. We are both tall but never had it crossed my mind that I'd have a baby that big. Fortunately my doctor doesn't have that "god" complex that so many doctors seem to have. When we saw him a few minutes later he said..."I think she's telling us she's too big."

He gave us a few different options for delivery. After many questions, some discussion and some careful consideration, we decided on the c-section. We went home to repack our bags and prepare for her arrival.
